"C|Net
- Microsoft to charge for 98 bug fixes" Wow..
this is just another reason why I don't use Windows98.. I don't know
exactly what Microsoft is hoping to do here, but.. I don't know anyone
who would pay to fix something that was broken when it was sold..
its that whole, 'you break, you buy'.. well technically Microsoft
broke it.. why should you have to pay (more) for something that is
faulty.. Its total balls.. Ofcourse I can see them charging for NT
service packs next. So I await that day.. heres some paste..
Microsoft is expected to offer the Second Edition SetUp
for an estimated retail price of $89, the same as other Second Edition
upgrades, according to a spokeswoman from Waggoner Edstrom, Microsoft's
PR firm. Microsoft will sell the StepUp CD on its Web site, but
not post the bug fixes and other technologies for free downloads,
she said.

"Washington
Post - Mae West Found Guilty" hehe.. MmMm.. Whats
next, are they gonna censor Television.. Oh, wait.. they already do
that.. shit!.. anyway, for those of you who arn't firmilar with Mae
West (which I wasn't until about 10mins ago). She's some actor chick,
who performed a play called 'SEX'.. irionically, its about people
having sex.. In this play, she's a prostitute, (You dont even need
to see it, to know where I'm going with it:).. but ya, she apparently
got busted for corrupting minors or some other shit, cuz some kids
were watching the play.. oh well, its a funny read..
Ajury in general sessions court late this afternoon
found guilty the 22 individuals and 1 corporation charged with presenting
in the play "Sex" a production tending to corrupt the morals of
youth. Five hours' deliberation were necessary. The Sixty-third
Street Theater Corporation, owners of the theater where "Sex" was
produced and raided by the police, was acquitted.

"ABC
- Questions abound after Walmart shooting" oh
great.. more people die because of walmart (well, to my knowledge,
no one has died in walmart, nore has walmart directly killed anyone
- to my knowledge, but I sure got your attention :).. ya, so apparently,
two kids went into their local Walmart, asked to see one of the guns
(REAL GUNS) went over to the ammunition section, loaded the gun, and
one kid shot the other "Accidently" ya, im sure it was an
accident :).. so go and read..

"AppleInsider
- Fire in mexico plagues iMac Production" ah,
since I've returned from my vaction to mexico (on a totally unrelated
topic).. but ya, thank god some devine intervention my dreams of all
Macintosh computers dying is slowly coming true..
While the actual fire did not cripple the Mexcali facility
single-handedly, the subsequent water damage was extremely severe,
sources said. Enough so to temporarily cease all production in the
plant and to close it down. At the time of the fire, Apple was churning
out the last batch of their popular 266MHz Blueberry and Grape iMacs.
One source noted that the last shipment of these units may have
been cut short, with only a fraction of the planned run actually
leaving the plant.

"My
Stories and Essays" hehe. this stuff is funny,
I have no idea who this "Bryant Brandon" is.. but he's got
some great shit here.. just go and read.. oh, and my favorite essay/rant
is the Women and Underwear one.. :). heres a clip
I, on many occasions, have heard of or observed women
without underwear. To my knowledge, men don't do this. This strange
fact has prompted me to do some in-depth research over this topic.
It appears that men cannot survive for extended periods of time
without underwear. This assumption is supported by the fact that
men do not take showers for more than five minutes on average. Whereas
women have been known to dwell there for many extended hours. This
may also explain why men may keep their underwear for all of eternity.

"IBM
and MP3?" woohoo! 350meg Portable MP3 players
are coming!.. this is excellent, cuz I was almost tempted to get a
Rio, or a Minidisc player just so I could hear the tunes I like when
im on the road.. (ofcourse, burned cd's are great for my car).. so
ya.. this technology is based on IBM's patented 'Microdrive technology'
which was originally ment for Laptop external storage (PCMCIA Cards)..
but nothing like a little innovation to make IBM an even richer company..
so ya, unless your interested in Portable MP3 technology, or, Waffer
thin Harddrives, you can skip this article :)..

"ZDNN
- Internet Threatens state liquor laws" OoOoOooOo..
I wish there was this place (online) when I was underage, cuz then
I wouldn't of had to hang outside of the beer store with my puppy
dog eyes, and my open mouth (we're not gonna talk about that) and
a handfull of cash begging old people to buy me beer.. anyway, heres
a snipette.
Other companies are less scrupulous. Some even consider
them irresponsible. But teens who once relied on fake IDs or sympathetic
older siblings increasingly are turning to their computer keyboards
for the alcohol to fuel their adolescent parties.
