"Wired
- Compaq's Security flaw" ahhahahah. just another
example of how much Compaq's suck..
The applet, called "SpawnApp," was installed by Compaq
on its Presario line of PCs as part of its customer service applications.
While Compaq intended to streamline customer support over the Net
using handy Web tools -- Internet Explorer 4 and Java applications
-- the company unwittingly put its customers at risk.
"All you need is a little bit of JavaScript to misuse the control.
They've left it wide open, so you can run anything. You can give a
delete command that deletes everything in the [Windows] My Documents
directory."

Wow,
i saw The Blair Witch Project yesterday, and holy shit.. if your going
to see it, dont expect any "frills" of modern horror; infact,
prepare yourself for a fucking great and ORIGINAL horror movie.. thats
all it is.. theres no fancy special effects like in "The Haunting"
(which just happened to suck ass; i saw it a couple days ago). There
is absolutly nothing wrong with the movie either; you'll leave the theatre
still asking questions.. go see it.. it'll fuck you up :)..

"Yahoo
- Jerry Springer Says 'maybe' to senate running"
hehe, he's no Jesse Ventura, but im sure he'll do Ohio a world of good..
(but not until the year 2000 elections; presuming we all live past December
31st 1999).
Talk show host Jerry Springer questioned Thursday whether
it was ``practical or possible'' for him to run for the U.S. Senate
from Ohio where Democratic officials have asked him to consider a
candidacy in 2000.
``I'm obviously flattered and honored by the interest,'' Springer
said in a statement released by his publicist in Chicago where the
``Jerry Springer Show'' originates.
``It's just that at this time, I don't know whether it's practical
or possible. In any event, I respect the seriousness of their inquiry
and will respond in a timely, sincere and appropriate manner,'' he
said.

"ZDNN
- AOL Vows to keep blocking MS" Can you smell what
the rock is cooking?. oh wait.. this is total bullshit.. AOL should
be happy that someone is trying to be 'compatible' with its shitty messager
client.. after all, if someone was able to come up with a leeter version
of ICQ (OpenSource styles). i would spunk in muh pants.. but ya, heres
some ponygifnpaste.
"Can AOL continue to shift its architecture to prevent
Microsoft, Yahoo and the rest from using its database (of instant
messaging users)? My guess is 'yes' -- if you're committed to something
like that in the software industry you can make it happen."
