"Excite - Microsoft Abandons Fight with AOL" wow. this is a first.. Microsoft actually backing down... Volunatarialy... anyway, the fight between MS and AOL started with MS's Instant Messanger being about to Message people on AOL messaging client. well.. to tell you the truth, until i see an OpenSource Messaging client, im not switch from ICQ...
Excite - Cannabis Medicine Ready in 3 years" Thats right. all you pot heads out there will soon (3 years meh...) be able to get your daily "dose" perscribed to you from your local pharmacy :). i dont think it'll be that easy. but hey. if your "pro-legalization" then this is a big step forward..

"Fox News - Artificially grown sexual organs may soon be possible" hehe. i can just see all the rich "kids" (18-25yrs old) going into the 'plastic surgery' place ( <- technical term) asking for the "Turbo charged Dolf Lundrin Special" or the "Stallone Bone".. hehe. god i rule..
"Myboot - Movie Theatre" hahaha a collection of some of the more 'funny/disturbing' movies on the net.. but make sure you check out the root site (www.myboot.com) cuz theres way funnier shit then this there.. heh. english rules.. oh and make sure you download the 'godswill*.mpeg' cuz im still laughing..
"MSNBC - Breaking free of Cables" Whoa, cool, new 'anti-cabling' technology, using some kinda shortwave broadcast technology.. this would solve so many probs.. ie, wiring your current stereo to your TV, or even tying in yer computer into that bundle without running new wires through walls.. i feer. this would also solve alot of the car stereo problems too. it would make installing New speakers and amps a sinch..

"Gyro's Excellent Hernia Adventure" uhm... i can't explain this. heres some paste...
On December 22, 1998, I went to the University of Washington medical center for a hernia operation. This allowed me to avoid the stress of the pre-Christmas shopping rush by giving me a perfect excuse to do nothing more than lolligag around on the couch, read some P.G. Wodehouse, watch some teevee, and generally veg out. Having taken a camera along for some dental work at Greenlake Family Dentistry with excellent results, I decided to try it again and see what I could get away with. Dr. Mika Sinanan was primarily concerned about making sure there'd be no shortage of hands during the operation, but as long as the surgery wouldn't be compromised, we were a go for pictures. Whoohoo! It takes a confident sawbones to let a doped-up geek with a web server and a digital camera into the operating room in this day and age, but these folks at the UW know their stuff. It was pretty interesting, at least for me, and I walked out of there (with a little help from Shirley Nelson, a post-op nurse) about 2 hours after Dr. Visha Kapoor had sewn me up. The operation was performed under local anesthetic, but Dr. Andrew Smith, the anesthesiologist, had me nodding off through most of it. He also took most of the pictures seen here (thanks Andrew - you ROCK!) and Karen and Tracy, the scrub and circulation nurses, took a few as well. If I ever need any other dents pounded out, or back in as the case may be, I'm definitely going back there.

"MSNBC - Is the end near for American Muscle Cars?" hehe. well, it appears that Big American Super Sports cars are on their way out.. it seems that sales are dropping and the production costs are too high.. well, i can see the problem with this.. Take a market where fuel economy makes the world of difference when buying a car, and work that into a 3800lbs car with a 6.3l V8 in it.. Fuel economy and Muscle Cars just dont mix.. but what i think the major cause is... High prices.. in the 'early' days of SS cars, they were fairly in expensive. take for example.. my 1972 Dodge Charger (muscle car), when it was made, it only cost 3800$ (US) now, take a 1974 AMC Pacer (econo car) being manufactured and sold for 3300$.. anyone see a problem with todays cars prices; 1999 Corvette == 48,000$ (with all the fixin's), 1999 Neon == 22,000$ (with all the fixin's)... Big fucken difference if you ask me. so i think that Performance/dollar is the major thing here. no one wants to pay twice the cost of a normal ass car.. oh well...
