"Scientific
American: Self-Repairing Computers" heres another
interesting article about computers of the future (Cyberdyne systems
anyone? :) but i long for the day, that my cpu will be able to regenerate
the copper traces on a burnt out chip in my computer.. but i seriously
doubt i'll see that in my time..

"Armada

what to say, those little black dots look fairly odd. but did anyone
else notice that wierd white flashing light in the upper left hand corner
(behind the leaf?). but yeah, this does seem a bit too surreal.. make
sure you also check out the root site here.

"Bisounours-Show"
YES! Carebears! You know whats wierd.. and i should have noticed this
earlier.. when i was younger (like 6years old), i used to love watching
the carebears (hey, you may laugh, but it didn't make me a complete
fag). anyway, for my 6th bday my parents bought me a Carebear stuffed
animal.. can you guess which one it was? GRUMPY (Bear)~! Oh man, was
that a foreshadowing or what?? heh.

"Holy
Virgin Cult - The Musical" k, this is clearly
NOT WORK SAFE.. and i'd say it can be moderatly disturbing to normal
people... heh.. heres a quote from someone who actually witnessed this
play first hand.*giggle*
"It wasn't the vigorous onstage sodomy that did it,
nor was it the frenzied scatological rimming. I even stood firm when
they smeared each others' urine and excrement on their glistening
naked bodies before running into the crowd to assault members of the
audience. Granted, I flinched a bit when they set each others' genitals
on fire, but what ultimately drove me out of the Red Rose to catch
the last train home was the fact that they were shrieking in French."

|
"Gizmodo
- Scented Cellphone Covers" i will never understand
this. i never replaced my cell faceplate, and i dont think i ever will,
the mat black is fine by me. these people who have the glowing green
faces, with the blinking purple antenna's and 'la-coo-cah-racha' ring
tones piss me off, its like they want people to know that they are talking
on the phone.

"Wired
- Cold Virus Zaps Brain Tumors" Hrmm interesting..
this is one of the first times i've heard someone modifying a virus
to fight a tumor.. very interesting indeed. we'll have to see if this
crap works in humans.. not that i'd trust someone injecting a genetically
modified virus into my brain......

if yer gonna do this, why not just use a large shoebox, or a 'filebox'
(you know those big boxes used to hold legal files?) ah well, its a
cheap idea i guess. but im not sure if i'd actually buy one. since i
put my computer through hell, and i seriously doubt it would love to
be encased in flimsy cardboard...

"C|Net
- Security Group - ICQ is Flawed" uh duh, anything
AOL 'innovates' turns into buggy bloatware, infact, what i thought was
funny, back when i ran icq, i used to use the 98a client (thats pretty
much the last best client IMO). anyway, i was rebuilding my machine
so i thought it was time to upgrade my client, i tried ICQ 2002 Lite,
Man that was a dumb idea, the old client used to have like a 4-6meg
memory footprint, the new "lite" client sat around 8-12megs,
and it was all goofy and flowery and shizz. anyway, after i saw that,
i went out and bought trillian. a far better product, and it runs my
msn too which is nice, and it usually sits around 4-6megs with both
of my contact lists in it. feer

"Ananova
- Bulldozer Driver's Compassion Makes him a National Hero"
uhm heh, so this guys a sissy.. he burst into tears cuz he couldn't
knock down a poor womans shack. k, i do agree, busting down the house
of a mother of 7 when she has no money to move anywhere else, is pretty
low, but i dont think i would have burst into tears if i was him. Especially
if i was a hardcore muscle bound construction/bulldozer driver guy.

|
"SiliconValley
- Transmeta Chip Used in Microsoft Reference Design"
Tablet PC's are cool and everything, but i dont know exactly what the
point is. how many people walk and write, or walk and type on a keyboard
at the same time? I have an iPaq (which i love to death) but i can't
walk and use it at the same time, its far to cumbersome (and its smaller
then a tvguide). i'd hate to be fumbling around with a PC the size of
a textbook or 3ring binder. i far prefer my laptops to any tablet pc
on the market.

hrmm interesting, this is almost for geeks only, but im all over next
generation fiber networks.. hell if fiber was cheaper i'd cut my rj45,
and rewire my whole network. but alas, paying several dollars per foot
of cable (10$+ for super good quality stuff) is just to expensive..
ah well..

"CNN
- Do Flame-Retardants Save Lives? or Endanger Children?"
heh, i love how the US Government doesn't do adequate testing on chemicals
before mass producing/distributing them to homes world wide. They've
been using these chemicals since the late 50s, its like asbestos all
over again.. or, does anyone have any of those LEAD Kitchen Cups anymore?
Those were a great idea....
