- Mars Rovers to Follow the Water" What happened
to the old rover? and why are they sending up 2?. why not send up like
10 smaller rovers? and scatter them all over the planets? i dont think
i'll ever understand NASA, they do things completely the opposite of
the ways i'd do them. if i was gonna do this, i'd send up 1 spacecraft,
and inside the spacecraft would be like a cluster warhead (heh), when
it would near mars, the 'warhead' would seperate into 5-6 drop pods,
inside each drop pod would be like 4-5 little rover (around the size
of a remote control car, or the size of a shoebox). These rovers would
consist of a sort of 'hand' (to pick small things up) and it would return
the item to the drop pod, where the drop pod could analyse the item,
instead of throwing all scientific stuff on the rovers, leave it in
one spot. It'd be a hellova lot cheaper, and you'd get more information,
and be able to cover more territory. ah well
