Sorry for the late update, my intarweb broke :( but its fixed now, so enjoy
.cre

"NewScientist - British Army Planned Nuclear Landmines" rofl, talk about british intelligence on this one. it would have been much easier for them just to fly over any invaders, and drop the bombs, then bury them and wait for invading forces to drive over/near them. Still, the name is so english it isn't funny "Blue Peacock Mines" heh

"MoscowTimes - Doctor Restores Man's Dignity" *shudder* these stories always make me cringe..

"Brian's Page of Antique Weirdness" uh heh.. some of this stuff is a bit too wierd to be real :)

"DetNews - HP To Imdemnify Customers from Linux Legal Claims" Alright, i know i said i'd try not to post anymore SCO/Linux/Unix/IBM/etc articles.. but this ones good :)

"CNN - All Segways Sold to Consumers Recalled" hah Ginger fails again.. talk about an overhyped POS that doesn't work right...

"Excite - Sex With Strangers Dogging English Parks" Whoa~ sex in public, tried it once, kinda liked it.. Sex with a stranger.. Tried it a few times, liked it.. Now if i could combine these two.. hrmm...

"One Fine September Morning - Bowling Ball Mortar" ha! Move over potato cannons, this shizz has gotcha beat by about 7.8lbs per projectile :)

"Wired - The Octopus as Eyewitness" ooOooo Artificial Eyes circuits, pretty bad ass, i'd love to be able to see in lowlight and underwater better... even though, whenever im in low light i seldom want to see clearly, as alcohol is obscuring my vision/judgement.. heh

"Omaha - Man Steals $729k Ferrari After Test Drive" ha! I bet the ferrari test driver/sales guy was seriously pissed after the guy told him to drive, then sped off while he was getting out.. heh, priceless. i would have loved to have seen the look on his face :)

"Diamoah - Menssoms" i have no idea what a "menssoms" is. but i think it roughly translates to "CHEEZY RUBBER HANDJOB MACHINE" heh

"Chingo Bing.com" rofl. awesome

September 28th
"Nettavisen - Driver Hits Girl While Sending Text Messages" Ha! text messaging is the dumbest thing ever devised. Anyone who has tried to send a text message from a cell phone knows how cumbersome it is.. Typing a 4 word sentence can take 2mins, Whats the point? why not just pickup the phone, call the person, saying "HAY DOOD YOU SUCK!" and hanging up would take less time. Useless...

"MSNBC - Ebay Thief Reveals Tricks of the Trade" Read up, i saw one of these hit my mailbox a few days ago, but assoon as i saw it, i knew it was a scam, looked pretty convincing though, make sure your parents and little brothers/sisters read this if they're into ebay. heh

"News.com - Yahoo Walls Out Trillian" Trillian is by far the best answer to todays IM crowd, why must all these IM companies be such wangs, and block out the only client that im willing to use.. Seriously. ICQ Light would eat up 9megs of ram (old ICQ used to take up 12+megs), MSN used to gobble up 6-14megs of ram, whereas this little slick Trillian only uses up 6.3megs and its skinable, and very configurable.. I guess i'll have to update to the latest trillian..
"Jeff Russels' Starship Dimensions" i'm not 100% sure why this site exists, but its kinda cool. Im a scifi geek at heart :(
Sent in by: mkow
"Mr.Wiggles - Whats With Todays Kids" rofl. awesome... i want to get the rant about racial identity printed on a shirt :)

"Guardian Unlimited - It's Not a Fair Cop.... That's my Sarnie" dumbest shit ever..

September 27th
Oh my god... Thats the last time i drink a $6.56 magnum of wine. i havnt been this hung over in years. But yeh, let this be a lesson to you... Dont drink 3litres of cheap wine....
.cre

"Guardian Unlimited - Movie Stars Get Hung up on KGB's Anti-Hangover Drug" Yeh seriously all us Eastern Europeans (slav's) can pound the drinks back, I can do hard liquor all night long, and wake up in the morning nice and fresh, and ready to kick ass, i dont know why the KGB needed this drug.. Unless they were using it to drink other russians under the table heh.. HELLO ALCOHOL POISONING..

"Ananova - Dog with World's Longest Ears" this begs the question.... Who cares?....

"BBCNws - Artic Ice Shelf Splits" Holy crapnuts 443 Square kilometres of ice... thats one damn big icecube.. you know, i used to be worried about "the return of the ice age" that everyone (back in the 80s) said would happen, but now everyone is worried about "global warming", can you really trust anyone who flip/flops on whats going to happen in the future like this? how can you go from thinking that the globe is going freeze one decade, then start proclaiming that its going to cook itself in the next? ah well.

"CNN - Makers of Kazaa Suing Record Labels" rofl, this is hilarious..

"Stealth Disco Development" requires quicktime, but its good :)
Sent in by: Phenethaine
"BBCNews - Camera Specs Take Candid Snaps" best idea ever, these tiny cameras are awesome, my sister got one (its uh i forget the name, but its the size of zippo lighter, and it stores 20megs of photos). its pretty slick. i drag it everwhere i go. just incase i stumble across something picture worthy.. but i'd love to have one built into a pair of sunglasses.

"Mirror.co.uk - Killed by a Steradent He Thought Was a Mint" K, seriously, why are people this dumb? Its like people who open up email attachments without knowing the person who sent them...

"CNN - Sun Presents Chip-Design Breakthrough" rofl, What a 'Breakthrough', my placing chips side by side, and not having any copper/gold solder runs, they say that will increase speeds 100 times. but one of the reasons why PCB manufacturers space chips out, is because of heat concerns, just imagine, if you had your AMD cpu your ram, and your Bus Chipset side by side.. Dont you think that would cause an overheating problem? Sure, it maybe 5-15% faster... But you'd need some sort of serious aircooling system to keep it stable.

"FoxNews - Pups Panting for 'Pawlished' Nails" ghah! check out the accompanying pictures on the right hand side.. Those animals do NOT look happy with prissy painted nails..

"ABC.net.au - Roo to The Rescue" Ha! Move over lassy, this kangaroo has got her beat. But seriously, how can i brain wash a kangaroo to make it think its a dog.. Like. Could i brainwash a dog to think its a kangaroo? Now that would be cool

"4D Model: Tesseract" Whoa, start screwing around with it. its feersome.

September 25th
"FoxNews - Teen Dies After Abortion Pill Complications" hrmm i'm not quite sure what to make of this.. Only 2 cases of death possibly related to RU-486 in the USA, Thats not a very high number, since like hundreds of thousands of people use the drug every year.. I expect that the Hospital who sent her home with painkillers will get a malpractice suit launced at them, rightfully so though.

"Ananova - Cleaners Throw Out Dictator's Vintage Wine" Uhhh... Uhhhhhh. if my cleaners threw out my private booze stash, i'd prolly kill them in a non-drunken rage... especially if it was aged cognac...

"BayNews9 - Front Man for Hell on Earth Takes his Case to Bay Area Airwaves" uhh.. someone wants to commit suicide on stage, with a shock rock band.. how hurting for attention do you have to be.... dont get me wrong, i believe that your life is yours to deal with, and if you want to end it, you should do it in such a way that it wont have any monetary affect on anyone else (ie, jumping off a 30 storey building, and landing on someones BMW below, is unacceptable).

"Excite - Rent-A-Husband Come to Aid of Russian Women" heh cute. Rent a man for an hour to do home repairs, and change light bulbs, and hangup shelves. But its all marketing, Since it looks like their service only became popular *AFTER* they changed their name heh. But i must agree, the thought of being rented out for an hour does appeal to me. Doing stuff that envolves building/fixing things and getting paid for it, would be awesome for me.. This working with computers crap has gotta go :)

"Frankfrurt Motor Show 2003" heh, sorry have to post this, i love concept cars, But yeh, check out the VW Cabrio Coupe thingy, it reaks of being a direct Boxster decendant.. and is it just me, or does the new 5series look like a Pontiac Grand Am from the front? and a WRX from the rear?

"Excite - Navy Shocks May Have Killed Giant Squid" oh smack! looks like a ship using a modified sonar to scan the bottom of the ocean may be killing animals that live down there, i wonder if PETA will get involved...

"CNN - S. Korea Leads World in Net Speed" pfft. i figured canada would have a better turn out then 11% of homes having access to broadband... im telling ya, its all those damn farmers in the praries :)

"Ananova - Crocodiles Spotted Up a Tree" Prolly some practical joke, but i like how they leave the mystery open ended.

"Local6News - Jawbreaker Candy Explodes, Burns Fla. Girls Face" SON OF A BITCH, Crapnuts, look at that. I've never seen anything like that, but i guess it does make sense, super heated candy core, in cool (well not that cool) mouth, and POP.. 3rd degree burns to the face... unbelievable.

"Taipei - Cabinet Says Computers Under Attack" lol nothing like openly admit they have a government funded hacking campaign against a fellow nation :)

"eBay - Honda Civic" bhah! i like how the pseudo blower, is just stuck on the top of the hood.. anyway, im surprized i havn't seen this monstrousity touring around toronto...

"Ananova - Crocodile Dundee Causes Panic in Prague" i dont know why people are so afraid of crocodiles, they're not the fastest animals, and they can't jump, and they have no thumbs....

"Foxtrot - Tech TV" you know, foxtrot is actually getting mildly funny. They went from being sissy-crappy cartoons to actually showing some kinda humor..

"FOXNews - AOL Time Warner Drops 'AOL' From Name" lol, this just goes to show, nothing good has ever come from having AOL.

"MSNBC - Ancient Rodent The Size of a Buffalo" heh, i love the "artist renderings" on MSNBC, i swear they're drawn by a 6th grade art class. but yeah, Giant Guinea pigs cool...

"AZCentral - Motorist Decapitated in Collision with House-Hauling Trailer" How can you not see a GIANT HOUSE on the road????

"NewScientist - Plasma Blobs Hint at a New Form of Life" yay science! today rules, 2 awesome brain nerd links.. take a read to this one. its good. and its not all in super-high-tech-jargon either. but it does pose an interesting alternative to how single cell organisms started...

"Seattle News - Driver Crashes After Bee Flies into Mouth" This just goes to show you, that Bee's hate justin timberlake as much as i do.. If i catch anyone lip syncing N*Sync, or justin timberlake, i will do whatever it takes to make you stop. Let this bee, be a martyr.

"DesertNews - Fun With Fusion - Freshman's Nuclear Fusion Reactor has USU Physics in Awe" durrrrr.. I cant believe this, i read the article twice just to make sure. this is pretty amazing, a nuclear reactor, made out of junkyard parts.. i didnt think it was possible... and if it was, i thought it would have been done on Junkyard Wars first :)
