Happy

go trick or treating tonight HEH

"BBCNews
- Row Erupts over 'Life-Starter' Vents" k,
k was originally gonna break into the whole "EVOLUTION IS WRONG"
shpeal just to play devils advocate, but then it looks like scientists
found some iron veins in Africa, and thought that they were formed billions
of years ago; When they wernt :)

|
"Ananova
- Man Killed Dog to Retrieve Eaten Bank Notes" *snicker*
i guess i cant be surprized, think about what this guy did. He made
some quick cash helping a friend build a house, then he takes a kitchen
plate (possibly dirty, or not washed perfectly, so it'll still smell
like food) and places the money underneith it. Then out of his infinite
wisdom, he though "hey i'll just tie my terrier to it, so he can
protect the money" (instead of actually putting the money in a
safe place). Then he comes home, and is surprized to find the plate
overturned, and the contents of the plate eaten (mostly). Now the real
question is, did they eat the dog after killing it?

|
"The
Register - Cray Preps New Opteron-Based Product Line" Whoa~
an MPP (Massively-Parallel-Processing) x86 (64bit) machine, i feer.
Most people dont really understand how a Supercomputer (traditionally)
and a Mass Cluster are different, Clusters are great, cuz they're usually
cheap, and easy to maintain, but they have to use some sort of fiber
or 1000baseTX to communicate between nodes, these bottlenecks often
slow down the whole cluster since data cannot be transfered as fast
as its processed, Supercomputers are the near exact opposite, They have
huge datapaths setup between processors/memory/storage interfaces, so
data can be passed with little restriction and at high speeds.

|
"CNN
- Students Develop File-Swap Alternative" This
is not revolutionary, infact this looks like a step backwards, a HUGE
step backwards, Cable radio was popular like 30 years ago, All they're
doing now, is strapping a laptop to the amp, and broadcasting digital
audio over a crappy analog line. GO MIT, Way to bring back a dying technology.

"The

photo is taken with the unfished cinder block backwall to it. so classy.

last year they killed one of my scsi raid arrays :( maybe its time to
bust out the tin foil hats.

|
"HKFlix
- The Kill Bill Study Guide" I'm still on the
fense about kill bill, i didnt like uma thurmans acting, but the rest
of the movie was good. if they could have subbed someone else to do
her lines/acting it would have been awesome.

|
"Wired
- A Case of Piracy Overkill?" ha! i havn't
heard of this yet, wanting to stop people from recording TV shows on
a VCR.. If you cant record TV, whats the point of making a VCR? it serves
practically not other purpose..

|
"The
Register - US Army 'Going to Linux' After OS Switch for GI PDA"
Followup: Looks like the Military 'Land Warrior' wearable computer weapons
system will be running linux, I dunno how it'll work, but it should
be pretty cool.

|
"Ananova
- Photos of Heroin Victim's Body, To Be Used in Schools"
k, this is prolly not work safe, since it shows a picture of a dead
girl. But serious, this pic has turned me off heroin (not that i've
ever done it, but that girl looked fairly hot before, and she barely
looks human (almost like a monster out of a dr.who episode).

"Excite
- Embarrassed GM to Rename Car With Risque Overtones"
Followup: to the LaCrosse, yeah i love the little tid bit about the
CHEVY NOVA at the bottom of the article, but yeah, i recommend that
Buick chooses the name "WHACKMEOFF" instead.. it has such
a nice ring to it.

"Cape
Cod Times - 300 Illegal Workers Arrested at Walmarts"
Looks like NAFTA has given the US more then they asked for...

|
"Ananova
- Monolopy Makers to Sue Creator of Ghettopoly"
hehe it is clearly a spinoff, but i doubt they'll win the copyright/trademark
infringement case. (remember the Lindows lawsuit....)

"Jerkcity
- Deuce's Blast" rofl.

|
"Mini-KISS"
ghah! This is awesome a Midget Kiss Cover band! awesome! i'd so see
them if they ever came to toronto :) too bad the 'sluts' in these pics
arn't hotter tho, the ugly chicks dont make the midgets look any better

:) but the one time i did let a girl drive my truck, she almost flipped
it in a highway side rest zone/gas stations.

"The

of those 'log' photos, where everytime you click on something it zooms

long it took to draw, then scan zone by zone.

|
"MSNBC
- Suit Filed Over Violent Video Game" lol,
these lawsuits never get old. "Hey your kid shot my daughter, with
your gun, but its the video games fault." But i dont remember a
mission in Grand Theft Auto 3, where you had to "randomly shoot
at cars"? Now i could be wrong, i beat the game ages ago. but the
real question is, kids who played with Rock'em'Sock'em Robots when they
were kids, probably ended up hitting people with their fists later on
in life (hell, i never had a rock'em'sock'em, and i ended up hitting
people), but you dont see me blaming Mattel.

|
"Excite
- Man Survives Niagra Falls Drop, Faces Hefty Fine"
god.. leave it to a canadian to do this first. but the real question
is 'why' ? i can think of a bunch of cooler things that to do for a
for a good time. but hey, thats just me.

"Ananova

"Wired
- Concorde: Fast Flight to Nowhere" Whoa~ check
out the flaming Concorde picture in the sidebar, but yeah, the concorde
is terribly out of date, and its the 454ci chevelle of the millenium,
a beautiful monster, but her time has come. But it is kinda sad that
the next supersonic airplanes (consumer based) are 10-30years away.

|
"BBCNews
- World's 'Oldest' Rice Found" "in the
back of a 7-11 in toronto." see this would be interesting if they
were trying to clone the rice. otherwise, this article, in its current
form, is terribly boring; since we're not all interested in the evolution
of rice.

|
"Ananova
- Ingrowing Toe Nails Halts Trial Again" lol,
i can understand if this guy was like, dying, or had a gun shot wound
or something. But an ingrown toe nail? Would an ingrown toe nail stop
him from selling drugs to kids? i seriously doubt it, hell, i've worked
through getting my wisdom teeth removed, my car accident(s), countless
food poisonings, and i seem to be having food allergies to everything
now. When this guy does goto trial, he will lose, and his precious little
rear end, will become a party favor in the prison showers.

"eBay

i love this guy, he's awesome, and i cant blame him for selling his

anyway). But holy crap, 860$ for some stuffed animals? Maybe im in the
wrong industry.

now i'll admit i dont have a perfect chest either, but im not selling

a whacked ass promotion painted on sweet sweet boobies.

i cant believe someone patented this. UNBELIEVABLE!

|
"CNN
- PC Fans Find Heaven in New 'Halo'" oh god.
Halo blows, if it would have come out a year and a half ago when it
was supposed to, it would have ruled, but it cant compete with the modern
multiplayer fps games like BF42. The textures look bleached and stretched,
gameplay is boring at best, the weapon system is terribly narrow, and
the only fun thing to do in multi, is to fill up a warthog, and blast
the crap out of whoever isnt in a warthog.

"CNN
- Taipei Tower Takes Height Record" well i
guess this is a big deal, since its just over 100ft taller then the
maylasian towers, im getting tired of companies just building new buildings
that are same height as the previous champions then sticking on a little
spyre on the top to make it taller. its like winning the 100yard dash,
by holding out a broomstick, it just doesnt count.

"Ananova
- Magic Wooden Penis Saves Woman" lol, im not
sure what to say about this, a wooden penis sculpture, grinding up rice,

else think that the shaman has a facial fetish? Seriously, what would
his next perscription be? "Mix milk, with sugar, then smear it
